Mid/Senior-level position, remote, flexible hours
As our Recruiting Partner, you'll drive our growth from 7 to 14 research generalists. You'll own the full recruiting lifecycle while working closely with technical leaders to understand and evaluate candidates.
What you'll do
- Run full-cycle recruiting for AI research roles
- Build relationships with ML and Safety researchers and engineers in industry and academia
- Design and refine evaluation processes to assess technical capabilities and research backgrounds
- Develop talent pipelines through research labs, AI companies, and technical communities
- Optimize our presence on key platforms (80,000 Hours, MATS Slack, etc.)
- Create structured interview frameworks alongside technical team members
- Track key metrics and continuously improve our hiring funnel
- Support hiring managers in crafting role definitions and interview processes
Our collaboration process
- We post daily statuses for each other to keep in sync regarding our directions. Each project has a daily sync, and there's a weekly lab demo to show off our results.
- We propose new ideas or directions by writing up a doc, sharing it, and getting comments. This enables async communication.
- Our median response time to each other is in hours, not minutes; we work in an independent and self-directed fashion. Your supervisor helps you maintain direction; colleagues help with the implementation; you keep track of your tasks and milestones.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of experience hiring for AI/ML research positions
- Proven track record of successfully closing senior technical hires in research environments
